Day 1: CHIANG MAI
Arrive at Chiang Mai. Meet guide & driver and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Chiang Mai.
Day 2: CHIANG MAI (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to the Mae Taman Elephant camp. Feeding the elephant with bunches of bananas before they walk into the river for their daily bathing. And then, they will demonstrate how to log in the jungle in the previous day. Next, enjoy with the elephant riding through the jungle (up – down hill) and into the river and visit the Lizu Hill tribe Village. After lunch, visit the beautiful orchid farm on the way back. Later visit the Doi Suthep. Perched on top of the mountain which overlooking the city and also the most important landmark of Chiang Mai. The temples was built in 13 century, contains a golden pagoda that houses a part of the holy relics of the lord Buddha. Return to hotel and overnight at Chiang Mai.
Day 3: CHIANG MAI - MAE HONG SON (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel. Depart to Mae Hong Son. Visit the long neck giraffe women hill tribe with rings around the neck around 25kms outside Mae Hong Son. Lunch at local restaurant . Overnight at Mae Hong Son. There are still some old people who seem to wear the rings around the neck as a tradition. Overnight at Mae Hong Son.
Day 4: MAE HONG SON - PAI (B,L)
Breakfast at your hotel, then depart by road to Pai. Stop in the village of Ban Nai Soi, home to the famous "giraffe women", proud of their long neck adorned with a spiral brass and the minority Burmese Padong tribe. Continuation of the excursion to the famous caves of Tham Lod. Lunch at local restaurant.Continuation in the afternoon to Pai, stopping at the village of Ban Phang Paek where the wider community of Lisu, the Sino-Tibetan ethnic minority live. Arrive in Pai, visit the local market. Check in at the hotel. Overnight in Pai.
Day5: PAI - CHIANG DAO - ARUNOTHAI - DOI ANGKHANG (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure to destination Doi Khang by the impressive ridge road, traveling between Thailand and the border of Burma, and dotted with villages of Chinese KMT (refugees revolutionary army of Chiang Kai-shek). The mountain road that leads you to Doi Khang is beautiful, winding and lined with beautiful teak forests. Arrival in late afternoon after lunch. Free time. Overnight at Doi Ankhang.
Day 6: DOI ANKHANG (B, L)
Breakfast at your hotel. During the day, visit the area the with many plantations flower, fruit and vegetables, minority villages (Padong and Meo), the Thai-Burmese border, with the possibility of trekking or a mule ride (optional) And rental of mountain bikes -field discoveries of places (optional). Lunch included. Overnight at Doi Ankhang.
Day 7: DOI AN KHANG - MAE SAI - DOI MAE SALONG - CHIANG SEAN (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel. Walk to the local market. Depart for Chiang Saen through Mae Sai - border Thailand and Myanmar. Visit local villages of Ban Lorcha. Lunch at Mae Salong Villa. Continuation of the road to Chiang Saen, passing beautiful mountains. Before moving to the hotel, visit the Lisu village of Baan Mae to Kaotom. Overnight in Chiang Saen. Lunch included.
Day 8: CHIANG SEAN - GOLDEN TRIANGLE – CHIANG RAI – DEPARTURE/HOME (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel. Explore Chiang Saen, former capital of the first Thai kingdom. Visit Phra Dhat. Then transfer by speed boat on the Mekong River to the Golden Triangle and visit the border. Continue to Chiang Rai and lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to Chiang Rai airport for flight home/next destination.
