Day 1: Saigon arrival (D)
Meet on arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and transfer to the hotel for check in. Sightseeing around the city including visits to Reunification Hall (Former Presidential Palace), History Museum, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Ben Thanh market. Photo stops at famous tourist sites such as City Hall, Grand Theatre, Notre Dame Cathedral and Center Post Office. Dinner boat cruise. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 2: Saigon - Cu Chi - Saigon (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel.
Drive to Cu Chi. Visit Cu Chi tunnel which is legendary for the amazing complex of over 220km underground tunnels used during the American war. Lunch at local restaurant. Pm: Drive back to Saigon with a short city tour at China Town & Thien Hau Temple. Overnight in Saigon
Day 3: Saigon – Mekong Delta - Saigon (B/L)
After breakfast, drive to Cai Be - a rural district of Tien Giang province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam.
Arrive Cai Be, embark on a sampan to the floating market where the waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with fruits, vegetables, plants, foods, etc and you will have the change to see how the local people buy and sell and exchange everything. Continue to cruise through the canals to an island where the bicycles await you for a ride through the villages. Visit an orchard, taste seasonal fruits while enjoying Southern folk song performance. Lunch of local food then visit some traditional local workshops such as bee farm, coconut candy making. Spend some time with the local people before getting back to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 4: Saigon - Da Nang (B)
After breakfast, free time at leisure until transfer to the airport for flight to Da Nang. On arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Your free time to discover Da Nang city and its beautiful beach.
Day 5: Da Nang (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to Son Tra Peninsula. Son Tra Peninsula is located 10km from the northeast of Danang City. It looks like a mushroom with its peak of 693m above sea level.
It can be seen from every places of the city.
With its sea-oriented appearance, Son Tra acts as a giant screen protecting Danang from storms and cyclones coming from the sea. The local people believe that the Son Tra Peninsula is a gift from the gods, and one which needs to be protected and nurtured an area of outstanding natural beauty. Visit Linh Ung Pagoda, which looks onto the quiet East Sea, on the left of which is Cu Lao Cham Island and on the right is Hai Van Mountain. The pagoda is famous for Buddha Statue 67 meters tall and views of Danang, one of the most dynamic and beautiful cities in central Vietnam. After which, transfer for lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, join Marathon Expo – is the exciting start to your Marathon. All participants are required to pick up race packets at the Expo in two days Aug. 29th & 30th, between 1 PM - 5 PM. This is a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy the excitement of the event. You will be welcomed by lively and animate music at the event. Marathon Expo will introduce you to local specialties such as tropical fruits, local food, handmade products, and souvenirs.
5.30 PM: Carbo load dinner and transfer back to your hotel after dinner. Overnight in Da Nang.
Day 6: Da Nang (B/D)
A dynamic and exciting day as you will enter the race course that takes you through one of the most beautiful city in Viet Nam. Rest stations along the course will help refuel your needed energy. Then a beach dancing will be waiting for you at the finish line! Memorable moment of the day will be taken by professional photographers.
03:00AM-04:00AM: Bus pick up , transfer to Start area , bag drop.
04:00 AM Marathon, Half Marathon start
07:00 AM 5K fun run and walk start
09:00 AM Beach dancing begins at finish line,
10:00 AM Official cut off time for Marathon
06:00 PM Gala dinner , Awards Ceremony
Overnight in Da Nang.
Day 7: Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Hoi An. Hoi An is a favorite destination of many tourists by unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. The old town was once a prosperous seaport city in 16th -18th century. You will have a walking tour in Hoi An to Chinese Assembly Hall & Temples, old wooden houses & Japanese Bridge. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon: free time for shopping, tailoring. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang - Hanoi (B/L)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Da Nang airport for departure flight to Ha Noi. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son & Quan Thanh Temples, One Pillar Pagoda – a symbol of Hanoi and Vietnam Ethnology Museum. Spend some time at the crowded Old Quarter. Enjoy water puppet show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 9: Hanoi – Halong (B/L/D)
After breakfast at hotel, take a 3-hour scenic drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay. Check-in the Junk to join 2D/1N package.
Set sail through the bay while lunch is served. Passage into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons' teeth. After lunch, we cruise to the inside of magical landscape of Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Binh Phong mountain, Sung Sot Cave, Round over Titov Beach. Enjoy sunset on the top of the Titov mountain or you take a bamboo row boat to discover a water tunnels with many coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back on board Junk, enjoy dinner on boat.
Day 10: Halong – Hanoi - Departure (B/L)
Rise to the sound of the ocean coming to life for another lovely day. Before breakfast, you may have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, we cruise to the Bai Tho Mountain in the other beautiful Bai Tu Long Bay and we cruise back to the Halong dock. Lunch on boat before checkout at 11:45.
Drive back to Hanoi then transfer to the airport for your departure flight (after 7 pm).
