Day 1 : Hanoi arrival. Free at hotel (no meal)
Arrival Hanoi. Free on your leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2 : Hanoi city tour full day (B/L/D)
After breakfast at KOTO restaurant, we start our tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh Complex, including Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, his House on the stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda and outside of the Presidential Palace. After that we walk along ever green streets in French Quarter to get to the Vietnamese People Army Museum, where we can see with our own eyes and understand more about resistance wars to defend the nation. Bun Cha (the rice vermicelli severed together with grilled pork with wonderful sauce) is specialty for our lunch. The following destination is the Hanoi Hilton - the old prison where the American pilots used to be detained and the Ethnology Museum - where contains more than 10,000 objects, 15,000 black and white photos and hundreds of video tapes and cassettes which depict all aspects of life, activities, customs, and habits of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. This evening we are going to have special hot pot (the steam-boat pot) for dinner in local restaurant. Then enjoy Water Puppet Show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3 : Hanoi – Mai Chau – Lac Village (B/L/D)
Early breakfast then transfer to Mai Chau. A scenic road from Hanoi via Hoa Binh province will take you to Mai Chau after 3.5 hours. This afternoon, we enjoy a leisure walk to Poom Cong and Lac village where the local explosion of traditional work. Dinner will be served accompanied by a traditional dance performance by the local Thai people.
Day 4 : Mai Chau day trekking to Hang Kia Village (B/L/D)
After breakfast, head to Sa Linh by car for an off beaten track trek to Hang Kia. En route, we will drop by local families to experience their life and join them in their work. Once reaching Hang Kia village; we will settle the home stay and enjoy cooking with local people.
Day 5 : Hang Kia – Van Village (B/L/D)
A full day walking with 7 hours through tropical forest, passing rice and corn plantation to descend back to Mai Chau district. Spend another night with Thai people in Van village.
Day 6 : Mai Chau – Hanoi (B/L/D)
Today, we will head back to the valley of Mai Chau. After lunch, we leave back to Hanoi. Catch flight to Hue. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Hue.
Option: visit Da lake on the way back or explore the life of Muong people in Hoa Binh province.
Day 7 : Hue City tour full day (B/L/D)
Today taking a boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. In the afternoon visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945.
In the afternoon, visit Imperial Museum and Dong Ba market. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Hue.
Day 8 : Hue-Da Nang-Hoi An (B/L/D)
Transfer to Da Nang in the morning, visit Cham Museum and admire beautiful Son Tra Penninsula, then lunch at local restaurant. Head to Hoi An. Free on your leisure at private beach of Resort in Hoian. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 9 : Hoi An full day explore (B/L/D)
Breakfast. Discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. You will have a walking tour in Hoi An to Chinese Assembly Hall & Temples, old houses, Japanese Covered Bridge. Take a short Masterchef Course with Red bridge Cooking Class in the evening, then enjoy dinner with your own dishes. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 10 : Da Nang – Saigon. Half day Saigon city tour (B/L/D)
Morning flight to Saigon (VN325 at 10am). Arrive at Saigon then lunch and relax at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Opera House and City Hall. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 11 : Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel – Saigon (B/L/D)
After breakfast, departure to explore the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels before travelling to Tay Ninh to attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple, one of the most striking structures in Asia. Return to Saigon in the late afternoon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 12 : Saigon – Cai Be. Overnight on boat (B/L/D)
Depart for Cai Be, deep in the Mekong Delta, and embark on a cruise on the Mekong Lodge. The tour begins with a visit of the colourful Cai Be floating market, followed by a visit to some locale home factories that produce rice paste, rice popcorn and coconut candy. Proceed to evergreen islands among the Mekong River through a large network of meandering tributaries, crisscrossed with countless arroyos. Lunch is eaten at a fruit orchard before the cruise to Vinh Long to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta rural life. Dinner & Overnight on boat Mekong Lodge Cruise.
Day 13 : Cai Rang floating market – Saigon (B/L/D)
Cruise to the colourful Cai Rang floating market while having a buffet breakfast on board the traditional Mekong-style Mystic Sampan. Then it is back to dry land in Can Tho for a two-hour bike tour of the countryside. Leave Can Tho for Ho Chi Minh City. Lunch at local restaurant in Can Tho. Dinner and overnight in Saigon.
Day 14 : Saigon departure to your next destination/ hometown (B)
Breakfast at hotel then say farewell to guide and driver at the airport then fly back to your hometown or to next destination. End of trip.
